We need to talk

Noémi Boutin & Matthew Sharp

A "Franco-British" musical joust

Noémi Boutin Cello
Matthew Sharp Cello

Two cellists and two composers. Four people representing two nations : France and the United Kingdom. Without wanting to reduce individual identities to national belonging, the concert ’We need to talk’ uses these two instrumentalists in the manner of two entities seeking to get closer to one another. The two cellists face and challenge one another, unite and search for words in both of the languages present on the stage, in the form of an imaginary musical joust or duel, which is both poetic and theatrical.
